Linognathoides laeviusculus (1 male, 3 females and 4 nymphs) is reported from 2 susliks, Spermophilus citellus, in Istria, Dobrogea, Romania, collected in September 1985. This is thought to be only the 2nd report of L. laeviusculus in Romania. The taxonomic status of the genus Linognathoides is briefly discussed.
