Lice (Anoplura) collected from rodents in the Polish Tatra Mountains

Details are given of lice collected from small mammals in the Tatra Mountains, Poland, between 1964 and 1969; 644 examples were collected, belonging to 6 species. They were Hoplopleura edentula Fahr. (on Clethrionomys glareolus, Pitymys tatricus, P. subterraneus and Apodemus flavicollis), H. acanthopus (Burm.) (on P. tatricus and Microtus agrestis), Schizophthirus dyromydis Blagoveshchenskii (on Dryomys nitedula), Polyplax hannswrangeli Eichler (on C. glareolus), P. borealis Ferris, which had not previously been recorded from Poland (on C. glareolus and P. tatricus) and P. spinigera (Burm.) (on C. glareolus).
