Measles pilot project study was done in the rural field practice area at Dighal with control field trials in 250 children each in vaccinated and control groups. It was proved beyond doubt that if the supply of measles vaccine was adequate and timely, the programme could go uninterrupted. There being no problem as far as feasibilty is concerned rather thc experience gained can be effectively utilized in teaching and training programme of the interns and medical students by way of active participation in the said project. The vaccine is safe, acceptable to the masses and if the ongoing vaccination programme is continuous it is possible to reduce the incidence of disease to a much lower level and that it may not be surprising to find the disease become extinct from the ares under study in the near future.
