For the determination of the chloride in the atmospheric air the Iwasaki method is most favoured. For that method are discussed by long experience for several years modifications and complements. Instead of sodium hydroxide is better to applicate bidistilled water. By more than 1-2,5 .mu.g/30 ml hydrogen sulphide in the absorbing solution the determination is not possible. If are contained in the atmospheric air > 0.015 mgm-3 hydrogen sulphide, the amount of volume must be applicate from 66 to 166 l of absorbed air. It is possible to reduce the amount of Hg(SCN)2 from 1 g to 0.4 g without decrease of lability. In any case it is necessary to apply 8 g NH4Fe(SO4)2 .cntdot. 12 H2O.
