An account is given of a study of the mode of inheritance of resistance to difenphos (Abate), fenitrothion and malathion and the linkage relationships of factors for resistance to them in larvae of strains of Culex pipiens pallens Coq. derived from a colony exhibiting resistance to these compounds and several other organophosphorus insecticides .The inheritance of resistance to the three compounds was found to be monofactorial, and the three resistance factors were closely linked to each other in linkage group 2. The recombination values were 4.2-6.3% between the factors for resistance to difenphos and fenitrothion, 4.4-9.2% between the factors for resistance to difenphos and malathion and 0.8-4.1% between the factors for resistance to malathion and fenitrothion.
