Tanned, formalin-treated human erythrocytes, sensitized with adult Schistosoma mansoni extracts, were stable when kept at 4 to 20 degrees C. or freeze dried. It was found that haemagglutination tests for schistosomiasis could be made with eluates from finger-prick blood samples collected on filter paper.
