Amyotrophic leukospongiosis (ALSP) was produced in laboratory animals: hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs. Guinea pigs were found to be a more suitable laboratory model for the study of ALSP pathogenesis with the longest incubation period. The data are obtained verifying the role of previously isolated unconventional virus in the ALSP etiology.
