Diagnostic antiserum was prepared in goats or sheep given three subcutaneous injections of formolized virus with Freund's complete adjuvant on days 0, 4 and 21. Cear, distinct lines were formed in both the agar gel immunodiffusion test and the immunoelectroosmophoresis test. However, the goat serum did not differentiate between pest of small ruminants and rinderpest infections.
