Albumin and y-globulin in serum of rabbits increased as lactation progressed, but no significant change occurred in concentrations of transferrin or electrophoretic alpha - and beta -globulin fractions. Whey contained at least 5 proteins which were absent from serum, and 9 proteins, including albumin, transferrin and IgG-globulin, which had similar properties to serum proteins.
