Recurrence of lymphosarcomas after intensive cyclic polychemotherapy and their treatment

Recurrences of lymphosarcomas of varying localization were followed up in 167 patients who were given intensive polychemotherapy in courses resulted in remission. Generalized III-IV stages of the disease were recorded in 121 (72.4%) patients. Recurrences developed during the first year after the treatment in 72.6% of the patients, and were manifest in the growth and generalization of the tumor. For the treatment of recurrences repeated polychemotherapy was used, and 68% of the patients responded well to the treatment. The results of the treatment of recurrences depended on their character, the degree of expansion and the time of development.
