In vitro experiments demonstrated the inhibitory properties of flavanolic oligomers of Cupressus sempervirens on activity of porcine pancreas elastase towards a synthetic substrate. The IC50 while monomers had no activity, with the exception of (.sbd.)-epicatechin.
