A case of disseminated H. capsulatum infection with involvement of the prepuce is reported in a 30-yr-old man. Posthitis caused phimosis. H. capsulatum was identifed histologically in colonic biopsy material and in excised preputial skin following circumcision. Gastrointestinal symptoms improved following treatment with sulphadiazine.
