Disseminated histoplasmosis was diagnosed in a 10-year-old dog, that had chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, fever, and anaemia. The diagnosis was based on detection of Histoplasma organisms in circulating neutrophils, monocytes, and eosinophils. The dog had severe histoplasmal fungaemia, which may have been caused by treatment with prednisolone.
