Sheep red cells, sensitized with antigens of Toxocara canis larvae or infective eggs, proved more sensitive as detectors of antibody than red cells sensitized with extracts of T. canis or Ascaris adults or Ascaris larvae. This greater sensitivity was only seen when sensitization was carried out at 37 degrees C., not at room temperature.
