Based on a study of the litters resulting from mating 40 with 120, it was found that no significant relationship existed between the blood serum cholesterol level of the sires or of the dams and litter size, the number of in the litter or the number of in the litter. Litter size was highly significantly correlated with the number of in the litter (0.65) and with the number of in the litter (0.64), which suggests that the number of and progeny was almost equal.
