Effect of inhibitor-antioxidant of 3-hydroxypyridine series on cellular immunity

Experiments on mice were made to study the immunodepressant acitivty of OP-6 (an inhibitor-antioxidant of the 3-hydroxypyridine series) with the use of simultaneous estimation of mitostatic and lymphotoxic actions and of the test of interaction of activated lymphocytes with target cells. OP-6 displays immunosuppresant properties. It suppresses cytotoxic activity of the lymphocytes sensitized to target cells without affecting the proliferative activity of the stem cells.
