The state of cellular immunity was studied in essentially healthy subjects exposed to the effects of various exogenous factors in central Ukraine. Lymphocyte subpopulation composition was determined by immunofluorescent methods using monoclonal antibodies CD3, CD4, and CD8. Negative trends in the state of cellular immunity were observed in persons as a result of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. Parameters of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+-lymphocytes and the CD4+:CD8+ ratio fell outside the clinical norm. Some signs of adaptation to industrial factors were observed: the total T-Lymphocyte count tended to increase at the account of increased count of CD4+ and CD8+-cells. The results of the study show that the nature of exogenous factors may determine the course of shifts in cellular immunity.
