Tick-borne encephalitis virus persistence in chronically infected spur-toed frog (Xenopus laevis) cells at 10.degree.-32.degree. C was studied. A direct correlation existed between the persisting virus concentration and the incubation temperature: maximum at 32.degree. C and minimum at 10.degree.-20.degree. C.
