A note on DDT susceptibilty status of some Anopheles mosquitoes in Arunachal Pradesh

Anopheles females were collected in April-October 1979 from human dwellings and cattle sheds in the 5 districts of Arunachal Pradesh, India, and tested in the laboratory the following morning for susceptibility to 4% DDT. Females of A. maculatus Theo. from all 5 districts (except for those from 1 village in Tirap district) were found to be resistant to DDT. Females of A. philippinensis Ludl. and A. annularis Wulp, which were collected only from the Lohit and Tirap districts, respectively, were still susceptible to DDT.
