Serum glycoproteins in Indian Childhood Cirrhosis

Serum glycoproteins, sialic acid, hexose and fucose were studied in 23 patients with Indian childhood cirrhosis and in 15 healthy matched controls free from the factors known to affect serum glycoproteins apart from the disease under consideration. There was a significant increase in all the glycoproteins at different stages of the disease. Amounts increased with increasing severity of the disease.
