The effect of the technique of mucosa secretion obtaining on the results of biochemical investigations

Two methods for collecting nasal mucosa secretion for muramidase activity determination were used. Choice of the collection technique was important for further quantitative determination of the activity of the enzyme. In both groups of patients with allergic rhinitis (perennial) a rise in this activity was observed in relation to controls. The differences between both techniques of collection were usually 10-fold.
