After a single dose and 10-day course administration of pentagastrin the initially reduced blood flow in gastric mucosa was regularly intensified, according to the amidopyrine clearance criterion. A single dose and course administration of secretin and a course administration of gastrozepin in patients with aggravation of duodenal ulcer inhibited hydrochloric acid production simultaneously with an increase in the blood flow rate in gastroduodenal mucosa. The data obtained have been discussed from the viewpoint of their clinical importance during pharmacotherapy of gastritis and peptic ulcer.
