In an open clinical experiment, the effect of rosemary oil was studied in 12 patients. Oral C. albicans infection did not disappear in these patients after nystatin therapy. The oil was applied as an emulsion of oil and water (1:10). In 11 of 12 patients this therapy inhibited the growth of C. albicans, while in some lesions completely disappeared 2-4 days after the beginning of the treatment.
