Riboflavin levels in the diet and breast milk of vegans and omnivores

Mean riboflavin contents of human milk (obtained during the 4th-12th wk of lactation) from 6 mothers on vegan and 9 on normal diets were resp. 310 and 393 mu g/l. (difference significant at P <0.05). Mean dietary riboflavin intakes were 1.33 mg/day for vegans and 2.45 mg/day for mothers on a normal diet.
