Cholinergic urticaria and asthma: a case report

Recent studies indicate a role for the cholinergic nervous system in the pathophysiology of allergic disorders. This case demonstrates the simultaneous occurrence of exercise induced asthma and cholinergic urticaria. The influence of the cholinergic nervous system on this subject's asthma is documented by the ability of atropine to block her exercise induced asthma.
