Comparative assessment of metronidazole and fasygin in the treatment of vaginal trichomoniasis in girls

One hundred and fifteen girls aged 8 to 15 years and without previous sexual intercourse were treated for trichomoniasis. In 74 cases familial occurrence of the infection was noted. Fasigyn orally was more effective (92% cure rate) and more convenient for the treatment of young girls than was metronidazole orally and intravaginally.
