Adult male Porton mice were immunized with tetanus texoid and their brains and pituitaries were studied for karyometrical changes. A significant increase in nuclear volume of neurosecretory cells in the supraoptic nucleus was found. An increase was observed in cells of pars tuberalis. Pars intermedia showed a significant decrease in nuclear volumes. The Gomori-positive glial cells present in the periventricular layer in the nuclei habenulae were almost twice as numerous as in the control non-immunized animals at day 28 and more than 4 times as numerous at day 100.
