quinuclidinyl benzilate binding were determined in each of the 3 control brain regions and in Huntington's diseased putamen at different receptor concentrations. Each of these brain regions had a "true" Kd between 20 and 40 pM. These studies, plus inhibition studies using dexetimide, the biologically-active stereoisomer of benzetimide, revealed that the decreases in ligand binding were due to receptor loss than to changes in receptor affinity.
