During placebo-controlled tests carried out in Portugal on 28 patients suffering from bronchial asthma, using a vaccine containing tyrosine-adsorbed Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Trt.) antigen (Migen), it was found that the antigen proved to be a good and safe method of treating bronchial asthma due to D. pteronyssinus.
