Several series of patients with carcinoma of the uterine cervix were treated using various chemotherapeutic agents. Combined therapy gave superior results in comparison to single agents. Adriamycin was given at a dose of 50 mg/m2 i.v. on day 1 and methotrexate was given at a dose of 20 mg/m2 on days 1 and 8. On day 22, the scheme was repeated. No patient had a complete response. A 50% reduction in tumor size was noted in 7 patients (20%). Among 16 patients with pain, 14 had partial pain relief. Drug toxicity was not severe.
