In a study of human malignant hyperpyrexia-susceptible muscle, a comparison between pancuronium and methylprednisolone showed that both drugs produced qualitatively similar depression of the halothane-induced muscle contracture. Pancuronium probably is a suitable drug for use in malignant hyperpyrexia-susceptible patients.
