The correlation between influenza type A2 and B antigens and the activity of lactic, malic and succinic dehydrogenases, as well as of monoamine oxidase was studied by an original technique allowing simultaneous demonstrations of enzymatic activity and viral antigen. Alterations in enzymatic activity were mainly found in the cellular areas where large amounts of influenza antigen were present.
