Lyophilized [Mycobacterium fortuitum, M. kansasii, M. battey] tuberculin and sensitin preparations applied to human amnion cells increase the number of pathological mitoses and bring about the appearance of abnormal chromosomes. With sensitins, dividing cells were arrested in metaphase. Toxicity of the above preparations is suggested.
