Metabolism of cassaidine in the guinea pig

Cassaidine-7.alpha.-T (I) was administered i.v. to guinea pigs and the excretion of radioactivity measured. Cassaidic acid (II) was identified as a major metabolite in urine. In the blood from anesthetized animals total levels of radioactivity, cassaidine and cassaidic acid were measured.
