Antibiotics of the tetracycline series: diobiomycin and dipasphen, a combined preparation, were studied in lice infected artificially with R. prowazekii. Diobiomycin was somewhat more effective than dipasphen. Thus, its application for treating patients with exanthematic typhus (Brill's disease) may be promising.
