The spermiograms of diabetic and nondiabetic patients with disturbances of potency

Spermiological findings in 40 diabetic patients with disturbances of potency or frigidity were compared to findings obtained in 40 males with analogous age distribution and identical disturbances but no evidence of diabetes mellitus. The ejaculations of diabetic patients had a smaller average volume of seminal fluid, less satisfactory morphological quality and lower values of mean sperm velocity. There were no statistically significant differences in the mean values regarding sperm count. The diabetic ejaculations had a statistically significant higher variability.
