Examination of Periplaneta americana (L.) in Cairo-Imbaba, Egypt, in 1972 showed that acanthellae of Moniliformis dubius were found in 15 of 42 cockroaches with 4-42 acanthellae in each. Acanthellae of Moniliformis dubius from Periplaneta americana in Egypt are described and figured.
