Four minor compounds were isolated from the leaves of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer and were characterized as 20(R)-protopanaxatriol (I), daucosterin (II), 3.beta., 12.beta.-dihydroxy-dammar-20(22),24-diene-3-O-.beta.-D-glucopyranoside (III) and 20(R)-protopanaxadiol-3-O-.beta.-D-glucopyranoside (IV) on the basis of spectral analysis and chemical evidence. III and IV were new saponins and named as ginsenoside-Rh3 and 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rh2, respectively.
