Screening of compounds active at the larval stage of Hymenolepis nana

Two hundred and two organic compounds were tested in USSR against larval stages of Hymenolepis nana in white mice. The most effective were some derivatives of quinoline, benzo(g)quinoline, benzimidazole and quaternary ammonium salts. Unlike phenasal itself, phenol hydroxyl esters of phenasol were effective against H. nana larvae.
