Nosema eurytremae (=Perezia helminthorum] spores were found within the tissue of Lymnaea rubiginosa 5 days after exposure to microsporidia. They were also observed in clean laboratory-raised snails. The infection rate in trematode-free snails was only about 29% compared with 48% in snails infected with Echinostoma audyi.
