Of the 800 market food samples, 139 were milk. For the milk mean values in mu g/kg were 5.8 alpha -BHC, 11.4 gamma -BHC, 4.5 p,p'-DDE, 1.9 p,p'-DDD, 8.6 p,p'-DDT, 2.0 o,p'-DDT, 17.0 total DDT and 2.6 dieldrin.
