A case of infiltrating, noular, ulcerative tuberculosis of the prepiloric portion of the stomach in a 61 year old man has been reported. The correct diagnosis was made only with the histologic examination of the surgical specimen. This patologic finding suggested tire bacteriological study of the sputum, and the latter demonstrated an active pulmonary tuberculosis. The patient was successfully treated, with removal of the stomach and further chemio-antibiotic therapy. After a review of the subject, the authors emphasized the peculiarities and characteristical aspects of the reported case.
