Clinical-morphological characteristics of disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis

Comparative data were presented on the clinico-roentgenological characteristics of disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis versus its manifestations in people treated in 1974-1975 and in 1986-1988. The data obtained indicate that at the present time disseminated tuberculosis is characterized by significant qualitative changes in its clinical and roentgenomorphological manifestations. The incidence of acute forms, whose course is similar to miliary tuberculosis and bilateral caseous pneumonia, increased. Several variants of the course of subacute disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis may be identified. The morphological shows the predominant involvement of blood vessels. Necrotic and exudative-necrotic changes predominate in dissemination foci, with the formation of multiple acute cavities, which is reflected in clinico-roentgenological manifestations.
