An experiment was conducted to study the analgesic and diuretic effects of Phoenix sylvestris root extract on Swiss albino mice. The extract of the root exhibited statistically significant analgesic activity in a dose-dependent manner and moderate diuretic activity at 300 mg/kg body weight.
