New distributional records for Coquillettidia perturbans (Walker) (Diptera, Culicidae) in Idaho

Although the cattail mosquito, C. perturbans is found in North America throughout the USA and southern Canada, its distribution in the Rocky Mountain States is not well known and only a few collection records have been reported. New collection records of C. perturbans for Idaho, based on surveillance studies conducted in 2003 and 2004, are reported. The new collection records of C. perturbans represent a significant extension of its range in Idaho.
