Larval ticks from a laboratory colony were into acaricide-treated Pasteur pipettes of the disposable type. A count of live and dead ticks was made after 24 hours. Percentage mortality was plotted against acaricide concentration, and lethal concentrations were calculated. Carbaryl and malathion were used as examples.
