Candidiasis vaginitis (vaginal thrush) is a common fungal infection that can be treated with an antifungal agent. It can be a distressing condition, especially if recurrent infections are experienced. Successful treatment requires attention to underlying contributing factors, education about preventive measures and the dispelling of the many myths associated with the condition.
