In the course of hemorrhagic shock there are multidirectional organ changes that result in intensified disfunction of important organs as well as multiorgan insufficiency syndrome. The syndrome is a cause of high posthemorrhagic mortality. The general inflammatory reaction of intestine--liver--lungs--immunological system increases in a cascadical way and has a significant role in the pathogenesis of the syndrome. Mast cells activated as a result of ischemia and reprefusion participate in this phenomenon.
