The assessment of changes in spontaneous behaviour produced by longacting drugs is technically rather difficult. The frequent repetition of experiments causes sometimes the extinction of some activities. The most suitable procedure is one which permits animals the largest amount of activities, that can be repeated and where extinction does not reduce the sensitivity of tests.
