This article emphasizes the significance of China's planned parenthood program to implement 1 child families and the relationship between population control and production. Planned parenthood personnel with the aid of extensive propaganda and education have increased the awareness of people for family planning. Current figures estimate that 4.36 million married couples of child bearing age have volunteered to have only 1 child. However, many people think that only 1 child families will create a high proportion of old people and a concomitant need to support them.
